Homework

Spellings:

Please practise the weekly spellings that are sent home.

Reading

Children are expected to read at least 4 times a week, every day if possible. Each time they read, it should be recorded in their reading diary, either by an adult, or the children can write in their diaries themselves. Reading diaries must be brought into school each day please.

Times Tables

Your child has a TTRS (Times Tables Rock Stars) log in. TTRS is a really fun programme that helps your child to learn their tables. We expect children to log on to this as much as possible, but at least twice a week.

Topic homework:

Please choose one or more of the topic homework to complete from the knowledge organiser.

Communication

We will continue to use tapestry as a means of sharing the children’s learning with you. We encourage you to share activities done at home on tapestry as this helps us to really get to know the children and understand their interests outside school. We really love seeing what they’ve been up to and they enjoy sharing this with their classmates too.

Our door is always open for you to come and chat with us about any concerns you may have. You can also send us a message on eschools and this will come directly to us.

Some important information for you:

Check out Think You Know!  It is an excellent way for you and your child to explore online safety.  It is also fun as it is set up as a game but with some vital information to help keep your child safe online.
It is important to talk about 'PANTS' at home. Watch this short video about Pantosaurus.
